This  was the dilemma Lagos traffic put me in last Friday 😓

On my way home on Friday, I bought some groundnuts (when groundnuts are in season, I can’t stop myself from for it) from a hawker in traffic. The lady selling does not have change so she ran back to her colleagues to find change. Then traffic became lighter so it dawned on me that she might not be able to meet up. I and other passengers in the bus begged the driver to slow down, but he wouldn’t bulged to our pleas  (you know how some Lagos drivers are).

So, I have groundnuts with me and the groundnut lady is out of sight so I couldn’t even drop the money I had with me so she can take the change (wished I had made-up my mind in time though).

At the end of the day, I’m stuck with the groundnuts, I couldn’t pay for and I was seriously ‘long-throating’ for the groundnuts.

Tossed it in the bin because I could not bring myself to eating it? (I don’t think that was the best solution though!)

If you were in my shoes what would you have done? *I had some feedback on Instagram*

Have you ever been in this situation before? What did you do?

I would love to hear your feedback.
